The Exhibit was given by The Jim Henson Company as “ a gift to the people of Leland, MS.” The Exhibit features a tableau honoring Kermit the frog’s birth on Deer Creek. The Exhibit features photographs from the Henson Family Album, a video center with many of
Jim Henson’s early works, a gift shop and a display of Muppet memorabilia. So Pack a Lunch and enjoy the Exhibit, the park that surronds it and beautiful Deek Creek - the birthplace of Kermit the Frog. I have a lot of great memories from the swamp. I remember when I was little, we’d all just sit out on our lily pads for hours and hours, rocking gently on the water and listening to the soft, sweet sound of chirping crickets…
Then, of course, we’d eat the crickets…but that’s another story.. No Admission fee However, your donations
willbe greatly appreciated for the upkeep and maintenance of the Exhibit.
Tours for 10 or more people are available upon request.
